Accessibility Statement

Tourismusverband Innsbruck und seine Feriendörfer is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with the federal law on the accessibility of federal websites and mobile applications (the Web Accessibility Act - WZG) Federal Law Gazette I no. 59/2019.

Compliance status

Due to the non-compliances and exceptions listed below, this website is partially non-compliant with Level AA of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1" and the applicable European standard according to Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and the Council.

Non-accessible content

For the following sub-points of the WCAG, conformance level AA is not met.

a. Non-compliance with accessibility regulations

• The drop-down menu in the navigation bar on the home page blocks the focus during keyboard navigation and thus prevents navigation of the underlying elements using keyboard input. Some menu items in the navigation bar cannot be accessed using keyboard navigation.
• Some elements on interactive map views cannot be operated using keyboard navigation but there is an alternative accessible operating option that ensures full accessibility to the information.
• The navigation bar and some other navigation elements are not consistent across all subpages. Links to external sites are not consistently available and uniformly positioned on all subpages. 
• Some links are not visually differentiated from other text elements.
• Some images that contain links do not include a text description of the function of the link. 
• The breadcrumb links for the image gallery on the homepage do not have a sufficient description for screen readers and other assistive technology.
• ARIA attributes used in the image carousel elements are only available in English.
• Some table elements do not have a semantically correct HTML structure.
   

b. Disproportionate burden

• Some videos do not have alternative audio descriptions.
   

c. The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation.

• PDFs: As stated in the Web Accessibility Act  §2, (3), a.: Files that contain office application formats published before 23 September 2018 and whose content is not required for the ongoing administrative procedures of the respective legal entity.

Enforcement procedure

If you are not satisfied with the answers you receive from the contact provided above, you can complain to the Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung (FFG, the Austrian Research Promotion Agency). The FFG accepts complaints sent electronically via the complaints office contact form.
 

Complaints are examined by the FFG to determine whether they represent a violation of the provisions stipulated in the Web Accessibility Act, in particular in regard to deficiencies in compliance with accessibility requirements, on the part of the federal government or one of its agencies.
 

If the complaint is justified, the FFG has to issue recommendations for action to the federal government or the agency in question and propose measures which would contribute towards eliminating the existing deficiencies.
