This route starts from the car park at the Patscherkofelbahn gondola and leads through the village centre of Igls to the tram stop "Bahnhof Igls" (the final stop on tram line 6 in Igls). From there, it continues along the tracks of tram line 6, past Lanser See lake to the charming Vogelhütte cafe. The route then continues through the villages of Aldrans and Lans, past Herzsee lake and Wiesenhöfe, to Rinn/Judenstein. The return journey passes Wiesenhöfe again before leading through the village of Sistrans and back to the starting point at the Patscherkofelbahn lift.
The route leads from village to village through alpine meadows and forests and is primarily paved. The forest sections are gravel.
