Your Path to Becoming a Congress Ambassador

As an Ambassador, you stand at the centre of a strong partnership: together with the Innsbruck Convention Bureau, Congress Messe Innsbruck, and the universities, you help ensure that international congresses consider Innsbruck as a potential venue. In doing so, you benefit from personal support, enhanced visibility, and an interdisciplinary network.

Your Qualifications

The following criteria distinguish you as a prospective Ambassador:

  • Professional base in Innsbruck or Tyrol
  • Active membership in a national or international association (as a Board or Committee Member)
  • Congress affinity and regular attendance at specialist events
  • Current engagement in realising a congress in Innsbruck, or previous experience organising or contributing to congress organisation in Innsbruck
  • Influential position within your specialist field
  • Networking competence and strong communication skills
  • Conviction and enthusiasm for Innsbruck as a location

What Does an Ambassador Do?

As a Congress Ambassador, you support the promotion of Innsbruck as a congress destination. Your role consists of drawing the attention of organisers from your specialist field – whether for academic congresses, industry meetings, or specialist conferences – to the opportunities available in Innsbruck.

Your Representation for Innsbruck

  • Recommendation of Innsbruck as a congress destination
  • Advocacy in promoting Innsbruck as a venue for national and international congresses
  • Participation in public relations activities (e.g., through interviews or media contributions)
