Obsteig is just over half an hour away from Innsbruck by car. It lies at the heart of one of the most beautiful landscapes in Tyrol: lush and green in summer, golden in autumn and boasting a sunny microclimate. Relax and unwind on idyllic hiking trails.

Three viewing platforms offer magnificent views and there are numerous places to stop for a break or a bite to eat. You can also do a via ferrata or scale the mountains on one of the many alpine trails. Obsteig offers numerous opportunities for both mountaineers and more leisurely hikers. You can follow a leisurely trail, for example, to the "Schöne Aussicht" viewpoint for wonderful views of the Mieming Plateau.
Obsteig is also a tranquil destination in winter: you can enjoy cross-country skiing on well-groomed trails, snowshoeing, winter hikes, ski touring and tobogganing. The family-friendly Grünberg also offers a varied winter playground for children.

Enjoy panoramic views

The name says it all: the three viewing platforms on the Mieming Plateau offer breathtaking views of the Mieming Range and the Stubai Alps, as well as the villages on the Mieming Plateau and down in the Inn Valley. And best of all: some of the panoramic viewpoints can be reached with a leisurely hike.

The burning larches

In late autumn, when the trees in the valley are already shedding their leaves, the Mieming Plateau puts on an impressive display. The many larches growing there turn into a sea of yellow and orange treetops. Unfortunately there is no exact date for this spectacle of nature. If you visit the Innsbruck region at the beginning of November, you have a good chance of seeing the burning larches.

Follow the temptations of the Cycle & Savour cycle route!

Each station is just as delicious as the last: flavourful dry-cured ham, full-bodied brandies and sweet berries. The delicacies dotted along this leisurely cycle path are tempting reasons to make a stop or two. The savour stations include farms, direct sellers, regional producers and Tyrolean guesthouses. Indulge in the delights of the region, surrounded by meadows, forests and the stunning mountain scenery of the Mieming Plateau and the Inn Valley.
