The easiest summit tour in the Muttereralm hiking area is the hike from the Birgitzköpflhaus to the Nockspitze (2,404 m). It can be reached either on foot or via the double chairlift from the Axamer Lizum car park. From the top station of the Birgitzköpfllift, follow the Innsbrucker Almenweg southwards. Shortly after the avalanche barriers, the trail to the Nockspitze branches off to the left. The path first climbs a bit more steeply, crosses a short rocky section, and then leads onto the broad southwest ridge. From there, the route continues steadily upwards until you reach the summit of the Nockspitze / Saile (2,404 m). At the top, you can enjoy a wonderful panorama — for example during sunrise over the Inn Valley.
