This varied tour forms the first stage of the seven-day Sellrainer Hüttenrunde and leads from Sellrain through the idyllic Fotschertal valley up to the cosy Potsdamer Hütte.
The starting point is 900 metres above sea level at the bus stop at Gasthaus Neuwirt. From here, the trail initially follows the picturesque Fotscher Bach stream, whose clear water and gentle murmur accompany the hike. The gentle ascent leads past the Weidenhof at 1,500 metres, where you can take a short break.
The actual ascent then begins: the path meanders steadily uphill across alpine meadows and through sparse mountain forest until finally reaching the Potsdamer Hütte at 2,000 metres. Here, hikers can not only enjoy a well-earned refreshment, but also a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountain landscape.
