About 4,000 years ago, the Goldbichl - an elevation between the villages of Igls, Patsch and Lans - was a powerful sanctuary. Today it has an archaeology trail that takes you on an exciting journey into the past. On the way to the prehistoric Brandopferplatz (ritual place for burning offerings), you will find illustrated information boards that reveal more about the period from around 2,000 BC to 15 BC.

Bronze and Iron Age artefacts and a model of the "Goldbichl" sanctuary can be seen in the "Haus des Gastes" in the Igls tourist office.
