This route starts behind the Olympic Village indoor swimming pool. After walking for one and a half hours, you will reach the Löwenhaus lift station of the Hungerburgbahn funicular. From there, you can take the Nordkettenbahnen lifts and cable cars up to the Seegrube in just 20 minutes and the Hafelekar at almost 2,300 metres above sea level. Alternatively, if you do not want to ride up into the Nordkette mountains, you can cross over Hans-Psenner-Steg bridge to the northern bank of the Inn. From there, you cross the road and then continue along a path that zigzags up through the forest to Weiherbug and the Innsbruck Alpine Zoo.
You can return on bus 501, 502, 503 or 504 from Innrain or Mühlauer Brücke.
