THE LARGEST SKI AREA NEAR INNSBRUCK
With over 40 kilometres of slopes and 9 lifts, the Axamer Lizum is the largest ski area near Innsbruck. Parallel to the legendary Olympiabahn, the modern 10-seater gondola Hoadlbahn takes winter sports enthusiasts directly from the car park to the highest point of the ski area at 2,340 m in just 6 minutes.
The Axamer Lizum is a ski area for the whole family and athletes of all abilities. Whether carving on the perfectly groomed Olympic slopes, powdering in the extensive freeride area or freestyling in the freshly shaped Golden Roofpark - fun and action are guaranteed here. Several ski routes as well as two signposted ascent routes for piste tourers complete the offer. There is also a ski touring evening on Wednesdays.
The panorama restaurant Hoadl-Haus with the largest covered sun terrace in Austria not only offers a variety of regional delicacies, but also a breathtaking view of Innsbruck and the surrounding mountains.
Sun skiing is fun for longer in the Axamer Lizum. Thanks to the altitude (1,560 - 2,340 m) and comprehensive snowmaking, winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy their turns from November until April.
